Assalamualaikum, Malaysian is out to vote!!! Yes, the day is coming. 5th May is going to be the day. A verse in surah al-Kahf (28) has some guidance for us in choosing who we want to be with.     وَٱصۡبِرۡ نَفۡسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ رَبَّہُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَهُ ۥ‌ۖ وَلَا تَعۡدُ عَيۡنَاكَ عَنۡہُمۡ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا‌ۖ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مَنۡ أَغۡفَلۡنَا قَلۡبَهُ ۥ عَن ذِكۡرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَٮٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمۡرُهُ ۥ فُرُطً۬ا (٢٨) Dan jadikanlah dirimu sentiasa berdamping rapat dengan orang-orang yang beribadat kepada Tuhan mereka pada waktu pagi dan petang, yang mengharapkan keredaan Allah semata-mata dan janganlah engkau memalingkan pandanganmu daripada mereka hanya kerana engkau mahukan kesenangan hidup di dunia dan j anganlah engkau mematuhi orang yang Kami ketahui hatinya lalai daripada mengingati dan mematuhi pengajaran Kami di dalam Al-Quran, serta dia menurut hawa nafsunya dan tingkah-lakunya pula adalah melampaui kebenara

As Salam Alaykum, Ayah reached home when the muadzin was calling for  the solat Maghrib. While busy with wudhuk, ayah told me that someone has passed away and the jenazah was now at surau. I asked,"Is it a woman or man?. "Woman", ayah answer shortly. I planned to pay a visit after solat Maghrib, however, I was having a bad toothache. Even a pain  killer did not help much. After isya', ayah came home. I was informed the clearer picture. She was a muslim-chinese lady. She was about 80 years old age. She has just converted to Muslim less than a month ago.  Subhanallah. She has found the right path just before Izrail pay a last visit.  She has gone back home to her Creator as a muslim. Alhamdulillah. May Allah grant her the jannah. She has a son with her who is also a successful practising muslim, whom apparently is the major donor to the tahfiz where my son is now. Good for her. What about us? Are we ready to welcome Izrail to take us to Allah SWT? Allahua'lam
