Marilah Mari .... Pergi Mengundi .... Mari Tunai Kewajipan, Pada Ilahi

Assalamualaikum,

Malaysian is out to vote!!! Yes, the day is coming. 5th May is going to be the day. A verse in surah al-Kahf (28) has some guidance for us in choosing who we want to be with.

I believe when Alah said, "berdamping rapat dengan orang-orang yang beribadat kepada Tuhan mereka pada waktu pagi dan petang", are those people who are truly practicing Islam in their way of life at all time. Be it in ibadah, aqidah and muamalah.

Tafsir Ibnu Katsir (ms. 522, Jilid 5) in discussing about this verse stated, "Maksudnya, duduklah bersama-sama orang yang berzikir kepada Allah, bertahlil, bertahmid, bertasbih, bertakbir dan memohon kepadaNya pada waktu pagi dan petang hari. Duduklah bersama-sama mereka, yakni hamba-hamba Allah, baik yang miskin maupun yang kaya, baik yang kaya ataupun yang lemah".

It was said that this verse was delivered from Allah to His Messenger due to an occasion whereby the noble people of Quraisy has invited Rasulallah SAW to an event which only attended by the noble peole of Quraisy and not to include the sahabah such as Bilal or Ammar whom are from poor background. Allah forbid Rasulallah of such act and instructed Him not to turn away from those who are 'abid (perform ibadah) just because the other group are rich and noble.

Subhanallah. Al Quran has it all. All the guidance are there. Only we are the ones who did not dig out all the beautiful gems from the Quran. How often do we recite Quran? How often do we recite the surah-al-kahf? Some may have read the quran everyday, and some may not miss reciting the al-Kahf every Friday night as suggested by Rasulallah SAW. However, how many of us had actually understand the important message contained in this beautiful Surah.

Let's recite the Quran! Let's understand the Quran! Let's practice the teaching of al-Quran!

Think wisely when you cross your voting paper!!!

Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar.

Wallahua'lam.
