WRITING?? 

What is writing? 

A source from Wikipedia says that “writing is a medium of human communication with the use of symbols in certain languages”.

Literally, the word is write defined by Oxford dictionary as “marks on surface”.

Now, is write or writing a word of noun or verb? Writing can be a verb, and can also be a noun depending on the context it is being used. Write is a noun and can be a verb when being put into use with another prepositions.

Wahhhh ... this is a very serious entry indeed ... 

We (some colleagues and me) were discussing about writing this afternoon. One friend of mine mentioned that she loves writing because the father was a writer, thus, she wrote enormous amount of academic articles. When I reflected my self, yes, I like to write too ... but jokingly i said i like to write blog, because it frees my mind. This is very true. The truth nothing but the truth. When writing a blog, i wrote out my thoughts and feelings. I freed my mind. I do not need of plagiarism or anything of such. But, a good thing of being an academician is I make it a habit to double check my entry if I am writing facts, like I did today. And I will also quote my source of the content to proof its legitimacy.

There are academic writings and non-academic writings. 

For academic writings, it is an act of sharing factual information, sharing new knowledge that can be empirically or scientifically justifiable. Academic writing will broaden the world of body of knowledge with this new information. These information will set a new ventures of knowledge.

For non-academic writings : it may meant to provide the reader with an informal knowledge or information. It may also meant to entertain it’s reader with its’ fictitious and imaginary story; which sometimes may contain certain messages.

Enough with this blabbering .... one thing for sure, I missed writing.

My love for readings made me like to write. During my school days, I used to write short stories. A fiction that is entertaining, and my friends take turns to read it. Just where is that girl now??? Who loves to read and write???

I really hope to be able to find that person in me again.
