Salam.
Here I am... seating in the clinic lounge waiting for our turn. Another best time to reflect through observation from the many walks of life.
Waiting is a definitely a most boring thing to endure. But not so true anymore in the current, the so called 'modern' era. The gadget always become handy. The have handphones, ipads, ipods, tab .... to name some of it.
Seated in front of me is a young mother with 2 kids. One is about 4 years old and do not look happy, probably having a fever. The other is a 2 years old active child. He is very active indeed. Climbing up and down the seats with his shoes on. And at times the child accidentally kick the other patrons of the clinic on his climbing up and down quest. It did not affect me as I am not in immediate reach, but I can see the annoyed faces of those who are around. To a certain extend, the child pick up a pen and started to scribble on the employee sheets available there.
To me the child is bright and smart, but thats not how the intelligence should be put to. Is the child at fault? NO. Definitely not. Its the fault of the mother whom I see was very busy with her own gadget, the handphone. This is the disaster in raising up a child. When we were small, when my kids were small, the children are always cautioned to be polite and care for others. Respect others.
I might be condemned for this posting, but I strongly feels if the gadget be put to the wrong use, its a disaster in civilization.
May we take this as a lesson and learn from it.
Wallahu a'lam.
