AlFatihah - The surah

Salam all,

Today, let's us begin our quest to achieve perfection in solat. We will begin with the most important verse in a solah, that is al-Fatihah, the Opening. We recite it 17 times daily. How much do you understand about the surah?

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (١)
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ (٢) ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (٣) مَـٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ (٤) إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ (٥) ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٲطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ (٦) صِرَٲطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ (٧)


Dengan nama Allah, Yang Maha Pemurah, lagi Maha Mengasihani (1)
Dengan nama Allah, Yang Maha Pemurah, lagi Maha Mengasihani. (2) Segala puji tertentu bagi Allah, Tuhan yang Memelihara dan Mentadbirkan sekalian alam. (3) Yang Maha Pemurah, lagi Maha Mengasihani. (4) Yang Menguasai pemerintahan hari Pembalasan (hari akhirat). (5) Engkaulah sahaja (Ya Allah) Yang Kami sembah dan kepada Engkaulah sahaja kami memohon pertolongan. (6) Tunjukilah kami jalan yang lurus. Iaitu jalan orang-orang yang Engkau telah kurniakan nikmat kepada mereka, bukan (jalan) orang-orang yang Engkau telah murkai dan bukan pula (jalan) orang-orang yang sesat. (7)

Look at the verses carefully. This surah is full of dua's. Try to memorize it. Verse by verse. If unable to, try to understand the gist of it. And when you recite the surah in your solat, try to imagine as though you are 'talking' to the Creator. We begin the surah with all the praises to Him alone. Admitting that He is the greatest, and believing in the the DAy. Next, we beg Him and wish for Him to guide us to the righteous path. Just as those whom Allah has bestowed rahmah and to protect us from being grouped with those who were astray.

    Kak ina pernah dengar nasyid "senandung al-fatihah" - nur irsyad.... Kalau cari kat youtube ada yg siap dgn lirik. Terjemahan al-Fatihah. Mungkin ia boleh membantu. Sesuai utk anak-anak tapi kena explain juga kot setiap lirik tu dari al-Fatihah. Takut kalau org ingat itu hanya sekadar lagu.

    Jumpa, mula2 ingat nak link, tapi rasa kurang sesuai untuk di sini. Untuk kanak2 menghafal terjemahan surah al-Fatihah mungkin sesuai. Tetapi ia memang membantu anak2.

Antara Anyer dan Jakarta

"Antara Anyer dan Jakarta" was a title of a song sang by Sheila Majid back in 80s. I tried to find the meaning of "Anyer" using the Google translate but to no avail. What about the song? Nothing. It's just because I just came back from Jakarta for a conference trip cum SHOPPING trip. I was accompanied by Suzana Ahmad and Norizan. Day 1: ====== Our journey began on 12th December. At approximately 5am, the driver reached my house. Izan is already there, in a short while Suzana arrived. We headed to KLIA. The check-in was a winding queue. We have planned for the trip carefully and agreed to travel light as we will not be checking-in to the hotel upon arrival as the checking in time is only at 3pm. Doa ketika ternampak orang sakit dan mohon terhindar darinya.

Assalamualaikum, Ahad malam Isnin. Malam yang sedih sayu. Biasanya hari Ahad, adalah hari ziarah anak-anak atau hari menghantar anak-anak balik ke asrama. Upon doing that, when entering the home, I can feel the emptiness. The quiet house, no greetings, no laughters. And due to that, I will make my way to the surau, to gather bits of pearl of knowledge. "O Allah, forgive me if the reason for my being in Your masjid is wrong Forgive me, Ya Allah.
